Top 12 Videos Of 2016

As we approach the end of the year, it’s time once again to kick off our series of year end posts. Every year, we publish a long list of videos on this site. In the fast paced environment that is the internet they are here one minute and archived the next. But before we close the door on 2016, it’s time to take a look back at some of the videos that we felt made the strongest impression on our viewers and the scene as a whole. The list is in no particular order and is not based off of any web statistics or analytics. With that in mind, we invite you to sit back, re-watch and enjoy.

ECD – Reid Menzer Trip Photos

Nilo Hodge just blessed the East Coast Destruction website with a Christmas Eve gallery of photos shot back in November during a trip to the Reid Menzer Skatepark in York, PA. The gallery includes shots of Dustin Clewell, Grant Bass (pictured above), Weng, and Tom Gorse who is a local at the park and was already on site when the ECD crew arrived. A video from the session is expected to surface in the near future. You can read some words from Nilo about the trip and the video project below and don’t forget to check out all the photos via the ECD website by clicking here.

“We met a videographer a while back that let us know that he was interested in shooting a bmx video with us at some point. Last Month, when he was ready to get it done, we took a trip down to Reid Menzer park in York to film with him. It was a crazy warm day in November, until about 3 p.m., then a wild storm rolled in and the temperature dropped like 15 degrees. The videographer brought some wild ass gear to shoot the edit with. I’m psyched to see how it turns out. We’ll post it when he’s done. But for now here’s a few photos Nilo shot throughout the day.” – Nilo Hodge

Mike Stahl – Welcome To S&M

Earlier this year our good friend Mike Stahl made the move from Pennsylvania to California to work for S&M Bikes. It should come as no surprise that Mike earned himself a spot on the S&M team and yesterday it was made official with the release of Mike’s “Welcome To S&M” edit. The video was edited by our own Sam Downs and features three minutes of impressive street riding from Mike paired with a classic Black Sabbath tune. We want to wish Mike all the best in his future endeavors. Congratulations from all of us at Ride PA BMX.

Colin Varanyak, Van Homan and Chris Doyle @ The Wheel Mill

Philadelphia’s newest resident Colin Varanyak was invited on a trip by Van Homan to The Wheel Mill in Pittsburgh before the pair headed to Cincinnati. Colin put together an edit for his YouTube Channel which is full of really solid content so make sure you subscribe for more videos.

Colin and Van were joined by Chris Doyle during the session which was also Colin’s first trip to the park. In my opinion anything with those super tweaked Chris Doyle 360 inverts and over cranked turndowns is worth a watch. Click play and again, don’t forget to subscribe to Colin’s YouTube channel for more.

Ryan Niranonta Mix

Ryan Niranonta put together this heavy mix of footage of himself and some of the Chocolate Truck crew & friends. The video is mostly filmed in the Philadelphia area but also includes footage from Baltimore and Arizona. Keep your eyes peeled for Ryan in the upcoming Animal Bikes video as well as his forthcoming part in Chocolate Truck Two.
