Our BMX has a new interview with Dan Conway on their website following the release of Dan’s latest video part for GT, Sick Mutha F_cker. The interview was conducted by Jeff Z. and also includes photography by Jeff, as well as Brendan Mulrooney, Matt Loughead, and Greg Moliterno. While the main focus of the interview is on Dan’s latest video part for GT, it also dives into Dan’s recent addition to the Profile team, upcoming video projects, moving into a new place, and more.

Jeff Purdy – Daily Grind BMX

Daily Grind has just released a new edit featuring their latest team addition, Jeff Purdy. The video is composed of footage Jeff wasn’t using for any long-term projects although he has been heavily involved in shooting for the DG’s upcoming third DVD release, ‘Rerouting’. Jeff might not be a resident of Pennsylvania, but his routine visits and affiliation with many of the crews in the state have kept our eyes on him for years. Make sure you keep yours peeled for more from Jeff in DNS2 and Rerouting, coming soon.

Daily Grind – Rerouting

Ride BMX has released an in-depth featured article on their website focused on the Daily Grind. The feature titled ‘Rerouting’ comes along with the announcement of the DG’s upcoming third DVD release of the same name. The article includes an introduction to the DG crew accompanied by photography shot during filming for the DVD by Gremlin, Troy Merkle, Brendan Mulrooney, Noah Huntzinger, and Devon Denham. We are proud to announce that Ride PA BMX – Issue #1 is now available through our online store. Issue one is composed of sixty pages of original content spanning the Spring / Summer of 2017 as documented by a variety of contributors and is printed on 5.5” X 8.5” gloss pages in full color. Supplies are limited. A second and final run of the zine will be available in a few weeks and a digital version will be available online free after the second run is sold out. You can read a comprehensive list of the zines content after the jump.

Our ‘Featured Photo’ this week is a double dose of Jeff Purdy getting rad at the O’Hara Trails in Delaware County, PA. The first photo showcases Jeff properly dipping a Toboggan over a set and the second is a classic (and personal favorite) One Handed Tabletop. Both photos were shot by Brendan Mulrooney during a session at the trails last week.

If you haven’t been paying attention, Jeff was recently picked up by both GT Bikes and The Daily Grind and is currently heavily involved in filming for Stink Pit 5 and the L.O.W. BMX video. Brendan Mulrooney has also just started up an Instagram account for his photography which you can follow by clicking here.

This past weekend, Brendan Mulrooney made his way to Philadelphia for The Street Series along with hundreds of other BMX riders in celebration of National BMX Day. Despite the mayhem, heat and photographers clawing for position, Brendan managed to turn out a really well shot gallery of photos for the BMX Union website which you can check out here. Ride PA BMX – Issue #1

To coincide with National BMX Day, we are proud to announce the official launch of our new zine. Ride PA BMX Issue #1 will be available in mid to late August and spans the Spring / Summer of 2017. The zine is 5.5″ x 8.5″, printed in full color on gloss paper and features over 60 pages of original content from the Pennsylvania BMX scene. A digital release of the zine will also be available for free once copies of the zine have sold out.

Our ‘Featured Photo’ updates have been few and far between lately but we couldn’t pass up on this one. Brendan Mulrooney shot the above photo of Eric Capone taking a moment to cool off from the summertime heat in true Philadelphia fashion, by hopping through an illegally opened fire hydrant during the Berks X Alive Industries jam last month. The spurting water in for foreground as well as the rainbow colored curbs, poles, flags and brightly colored houses in the background provided by the ‘Gayborhood’ section of Philadelphia really make the photo come alive.
