Ride PA BMX – Issue Two (Available Now)

Ride PA BMX – Issue Two is now available for purchase through our online store. Issue Two consists of sixty-four, full color, gloss pages of original content spanning the summer of 2017 through the winter of 2018. Issue Two includes a free two-sided 11″x17″ folded poster featuring Brain Foster and Jeff Purdy. Supplies are limited. A second run of the zine will be available in a few weeks and a digital version will be available online free after the second run is sold out. Steve Tassone | JIB: Tape #4

The seventh section from “JIB: Tape #4” featuring Steve Tassone was uploaded to the JIB Vimeo account earlier today. Steve’s section has a really good vibe to it and is primarily composed of quick one hit clips with a few lines mixed throughout. Steve has a keen eye for spots and the ability to make riding the roughest of setups look smooth. The section closes out with a secession of clips all worthy of being the ender that will surely leave you itching to pedal.

JIB: Tape #4 Premiere

After three years of documenting the BMX scene in Philadelphia, Jonathan Schimpf and Jib BMX are set to premiere their latest video, Jib: Tape 4. The premiere is being held in a warehouse in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia on Friday, January 20th. Hard copies of the video will be available for purchase during the premiere and will also be available for order through the Berks Street store the same day. JIB: Tape #4 Promo

At long last, the promo for JIB: Tape 4 is now online. The sixty second promo was released around noon today and is composed of a wide variety of talented individuals and crews that make up the Philadelphia BMX scene. The promo was filmed and edited by Jonathan Schimpf with typography provided by Pat Schlitzer. Make sure you check out the Vimeo page for more details. The JIB crew has been hard at work on their fourth tape even before the release of their third tape back in February of 2014. Last year, we caught up with Jonathan Schimpf for a Q&A segment for the website about JIB: Tape Four which you can read by clicking here. Be on the lookout for premiere info coming in early 2017.

Throwbacks: JIB Tape #3

The video includes riding from Tyler Butler, the Stinkpit crew, Jonathan Schimpf, the Chocolate Truck crew, Pat Schlitzer, Nick Bott and many more. As part of our Year End web-series, we wanted to take a look back and highlight some of the more notable events that took place this past year. Throwbacks: Whitehall Session

The Jib, Stinkpit and Chocolate Truck crews all got together and filmed a session at the Whitehall Skatepark. Throwbacks: Jib Tapes One & Two

With the premiere of “Jib: Tape Number Three” going down tomorrow night at Corsa it’s only fitting we throw it back a few years to the release of the first two Jib tapes. “Jib: Tape Number One” was released two years ago and contained footage filmed over the summer of 2011. Featuring riding from Nick Bott, Jonathan Schimpf, Pat Schlitzer, Chris “Fuzz” Ware, Steve Tassone, Joe Kirschenbaum, Joby Suender, and Dan Bob.
