The third annual Posh Woods High Air Contest was held this past weekend despite a rainy Labor Day weekend forecast. The jam was pushed from Saturday to Sunday, September 2nd, due to some rain that lasted through Friday night into early Saturday morning. For the locals, Saturday’s postponement provided a last-minute opportunity to fix the damage caused by the storm and get everything running smoothly for the following day.
This year a ‘Best Whip’ contest was also added to the mix with the jam kicking off at 10 am Sunday and the contest portion at 1 pm. In the end, Ever Peacock emerged as the 2018 High Air Champion, clearing over fifteen feet of air on The Butcher Jump as well as taking first in the ‘Best Whip’ contest.
