With only a few days remaining in 2017, it’s time once again for our annual year end list of the top videos from the past year. Take a look back with us at some of the videos that we felt made the strongest impression on our viewers and the scene as a whole. New Chocolate Truck / JIB Apparel

Berks Street BMX Shop is exclusively stocked up on new apparel from Chocolate Truck including a collaboration shirt with the JIB crew. The ‘City Wide Specialist’ collaboration tee is a play on the ‘City Wide Special’ (shot and a beer) available at most Philly taprooms and was designed by Pat Schlitzer. Chocolate Truck have also released their ‘Pattison’ tee printed on heather grey and white long sleeve shirts just in time for winter.

A$AP Ferg – Plain Jane ft Chocolate Truck

From humble beginnings in Levittown, Pennsylvania, the Chocolate Truck crew have taken the BMX world by storm and grown themselves into an international phenomenon gaining support worldwide both inside and outside the BMX industry. Recently, some of the Chocolate Truck crew took a trip to Harlem to link up with Nigel Sylvester and film for A$AP Ferg’s latest video, “Plain Jane” which dropped online at noon today. The Chocolate Truck crew also recently appeared in the Philadelphia Eagles 2017 Hype video, which we have included after the jump as a bonus.

Chocolate Truck At Paines Park

The Chocolate Truck crew have released a new edit online through the Ride BMX website which features a handful of the squad linking up at Paines Park in Philadelphia for a late night session. Evan Yoh was on hand to capture the session and also handled the videos editing which includes riding from Joby Suender, Steve Tassone, Herman McCracken, Jon Schimpf, Joe & Ryan Niranonta along with Nick Barrett who is back in Philadelphia after spending a few months in the Southwest.

John Yoh | Animal Bikes

Animal Bikes have released their first official edit featuring John Yoh of the Chocolate Truck crew. The video was released earlier today via The Come Up and was filmed and edited by John’s brother Evan with additional filming provided by Justin Benthien. John’s introductory edit is full of solid street riding from Philadelphia and the surrounding areas that’s sure to get you hype to go out and ride. Click play and enjoy.

Chocolate Truck | JIB: Tape #4

The sixth section from “JIB: Tape #4” was uploaded to the JIB Vimeo account earlier today. The Chocolate Truck crew hold down the third mix of the video with the help of a few friends including Grant Maddox and Mike Swift. The last clip will have you pressing rewind more than once. Berks Street Grand Opening

After serving the Philadelphia areas BMX needs for nearly two years now, Berks Street is opening a store front location at 3419 Frankford Ave. Philadelphia, PA, 19134. The shops grand opening will be held this Friday, June 9th at 7pm and will double as a zine release party for Rob Dolecki’s ‘Maintain III’ as well as a movie night which will include Ratkid’s upcoming Skapegoat section, Maintain II.V, The Whale Flipcam Extravaganza, and trailers for Chocolate Truck Two, AM:PM 4, and the upcoming Atown Trash DVD.

JIB: Tape #4

The full length release of JIB: Tape #4 premiered yesterday afternoon exclusively on the Ride BMX website. The video, which was released and premiered back in January, was filmed and edited by Jon Schimpf, who is also the subject of the latest ‘Top Threes’ segment on the Ride BMX website. JIB: Tape: #4 features sections from Pat Schlitzer, Nick Bott, Jon Schimpf, Steve Tassone, and Joby Suender along with sections from Chocolate Truck, Stink Pit, and A-Town Trash. Niranonta Insta Edit

The Niranonta brothers, Ryan and Joe, are back at it with a new eight and a half minute long Insta edit composed of footage shot on iPhones over the past couple of years. The video dropped yesterday on YouTube and features riding from both Ryan and Joe along with a number of the Chocolate Truck crew and some of their affiliates. The footage was shot around filming for the follow-up to the Chocolate Truck crews self titled 2013 DVD release and includes a few from the Animal ‘Facts’ video as well. Although most of this footage has already been released on Instagram the Niranonta brothers are doing a great job holding us over until the release of CT2.

2016 Calendar Review

Every year, Pennsylvania is home to a number of jams, video premieres and other events. Closing out our series of year end features is our 2016 Calendar Review. The third and final installment in the series highlights some of the more notable events that took place over the last year. This years list is composed of a dozen events that helped shape 2016 and made the year one to remember. Review // JIB: Tape Four

On Friday, January 20th, 2017 the fourth installment in the JIB mixtape series, ‘JIB: Tape Four’ premiered in a warehouse in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia. For those of you who are unfamiliar, Jib is in their own words, a project that focuses on creating footage of riders that are living & riding in the Philadelphia area.

We expressed interest in reviewing the video for the website and purchased a copy through the Berks St. website. Jonathan Schimpf was kind enough to provide us with an early online viewing of the video to help expedite the review process. You can read the entire review, after the jump.
