2016 Calendar Review

Every year, Pennsylvania is home to a number of jams, video premieres and other events. Closing out our series of year end features is our 2016 Calendar Review. The third and final installment in the series highlights some of the more notable events that took place over the last year. This years list is composed of a dozen events that helped shape 2016 and made the year one to remember. Review // JIB: Tape Four

On Friday, January 20th, 2017 the fourth installment in the JIB mixtape series, ‘JIB: Tape Four’ premiered in a warehouse in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia. For those of you who are unfamiliar, Jib is in their own words, a project that focuses on creating footage of riders that are living & riding in the Philadelphia area.

We expressed interest in reviewing the video for the website and purchased a copy through the Berks St. website. Jonathan Schimpf was kind enough to provide us with an early online viewing of the video to help expedite the review process. You can read the entire review, after the jump.

OTP – Park Mix

The OTP crew (Outside the Philth), formerly the Dtown Productions crew, released a new park mix edit online yesterday. The video was filmed and edited by Buck Milliken and Parker Berry at variety of skateparks and features riding from Cam Rusnak, Eeshond Kirk, Buck Milliken, Shilo Staniech, Josh Stair and more.

Berks Street – Only In Philadelphia

Steve Tassone has been hard at work turning a dream into reality. Earlier today, Berks Street BMX officially launched their website / online store in addition to releasing the brands first promo titled “Only In Philadelphia”. Along with the launch of the website, Berks St. has also released their first zine which consists of 40 pages of 35mm photography taken by Steve Tassone. Berks Street will be hosting a photo gallery / zine release tomorrow night (Saturday, October 1st) at 7pm at the Indie Photo Lab located at 206 E. Girard Ave. Philadelphia, PA. 19125.

The Yea – Standard Def 6

The Yea‘s latest edit “Standard Def 6” dropped on their website earlier today. The video features riding from Matt Smith, Marc Sechrist, Stephen Klein and Josh Stair. Quaker State – East Coast Destruction

The final installment in our “Quaker State” web series features the legendary East Coast Destruction. The video premiered exclusively Friday on the DIG BMX website. Quaker State – The Yea

DIG BMX has begun to exclusively release sections from our ‘Quaker State’ web series. The Yea opened up the series with the introductory section which premiered Friday on the DIG website. The section is preceded by an intro made by Matt Smith of The Yea from an old Quaker State Motor Oil commercial.

The Yea’s section was filmed and edited by Matt Smith with drone footage provided by Marc Sechrist at Rtown Studios. The video includes riding from Mclovin, Josh Stair, Stephen Klein, Matt Smith, Marc Sechrist, Tom Gorse, Kyle Evangelista, Eeshond Kirk, Jarret Mayo, Marlboro Jerry, Dakotah Lefever, Jon Herr, Austin Cogar, Jon Schimpf, Pat Schlitzer, Ryan, Muschlitz, and JP.

The Yea Spring 2016 Video

The Yea have released their Spring 2016 video which showcases their new “See Something Do Something” shirts. The video features riding from Matt Smith, Marc Sechrist, Jon Herr, Josh Stair, Stephen Klein, Cody Neiswender, Matt Loughead, Eric Capone and Gannwear. Filmed and edited by Matt Smith with additional filming by Cody Neiswender and Matt Loughead.

The Yea have also released a Spring 2016 Flip Book which provides some in depth details about the new shirts including concept art, photos and measurements. Josh Stair | Savannah Vacation

Josh Stair recently returned from a trip to visit his parents in Savannah, Georgia. Josh managed to squeeze in some riding and filmed this edit from his time down south with the help of his lady friend. You can snoop around Josh’s Instagram account for more clips and photos from the trip and don’t forget to catch Josh and the rest of The Yea crew in our upcoming web series, “Quaker State”.

The Yea Winter 2015 Lookbook

The Yea have released their Winter 2015 Lookbook online. The lookbook features some photos of Josh Stair shot during a broken bench session and a detailed run down of the new embroidered French Terry Crew Necks.
