The Stink Pit mix section features riding from Eric Capone, Fran Meehan, Dan Conway, Daniel Kelleher, Marty Moore, Ryan Scott, Dennis Bunn, Robbie Downward and Jarret Mayo. JIB: Tape #4

The full length release of JIB: Tape #4 premiered yesterday afternoon exclusively on the Ride BMX website. The video, which was released and premiered back in January, was filmed and edited by Jon Schimpf, who is also the subject of the latest ‘Top Threes’ segment on the Ride BMX website. JIB: Tape: #4 features sections from Pat Schlitzer, Nick Bott, Jon Schimpf, Steve Tassone, and Joby Suender along with sections from Chocolate Truck, Stink Pit, and A-Town Trash. Jib ‘Tape 4’ is now available for purchase through the 90 East online store. Too accompany the videos availability, 90 East also released an interview with Jon Schimpf conducted by Lino Gonzalez. The interview is a quick read but manages to provide some great insight into the filming and editing process behind the latest offering from the Jib crew. Don’t forget to pick up a hard copy of the video through 90 East or Berks Street which is also now providing digital downloads of the video following the DVD’s final duplication.

Review // JIB: Tape Four

On Friday, January 20th, 2017 the fourth installment in the JIB mixtape series, ‘JIB: Tape Four’ premiered in a warehouse in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia. For those of you who are unfamiliar, Jib is in their own words, a project that focuses on creating footage of riders that are living & riding in the Philadelphia area.

We expressed interest in reviewing the video for the website and purchased a copy through the Berks St. website. Jonathan Schimpf was kind enough to provide us with an early online viewing of the video to help expedite the review process. You can read the entire review, after the jump.

JIB: Tape #4 Premiere

After three years of documenting the BMX scene in Philadelphia, Jonathan Schimpf and Jib BMX are set to premiere their latest video, Jib: Tape 4. The premiere is being held in a warehouse in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia on Friday, January 20th. Hard copies of the video will be available for purchase during the premiere and will also be available for order through the Berks Street store the same day. JIB: Tape #4 Promo

At long last, the promo for JIB: Tape 4 is now online. The sixty second promo was released around noon today and is composed of a wide variety of talented individuals and crews that make up the Philadelphia BMX scene. The promo was filmed and edited by Jonathan Schimpf with typography provided by Pat Schlitzer. Make sure you check out the Vimeo page for more details. The JIB crew has been hard at work on their fourth tape even before the release of their third tape back in February of 2014. Last year, we caught up with Jonathan Schimpf for a Q&A segment for the website about JIB: Tape Four which you can read by clicking here. Be on the lookout for premiere info coming in early 2017.

Q&A: JIB Tape #4

In 2014, Jib released their third mixtape “Jib Tape #3” to a wide audience thanks to the video almost immediately being available online. Since then, the minds behind the Jib project have been hard at work filming for their fourth mixtape.

Interview: 20 Questions With Dan Conway

Dan Conway - Crankarm Grind

Dan Conway recently took a hard spill on a handrail and injured his shoulder which required surgery to repair. The end result is that Dan will be off his bike for the next couple months recovering. While Dan had some downtime before his surgery he answered some questions for us spanning an array of topics from the Nora Cup Awards to the riding scene in his own backyard. Throwbacks: Whitehall Session

We haven’t posted a throwback in awhile so here’s one that was originally posted on October 4th, 2012. The Jib, Stinkpit and Chocolate Truck crews all got together and filmed a session at the Whitehall Skatepark. The edit (filmed on three different cameras) consists of riders from all three crews including Matt Miller, Steve Tassone, Nick Bott, Brendon Reith, Dan Conway, Joby Suender, Joe Niranonta, Fran Meehan, Nick Barrett, Eric Capone, Pat Schlitzer, Anthony Yock, Jonathan Schimpf, Ryan Niranonta and Tyler Butler.
