Jess Grinager spent the 2019 trail riding season documenting countless hours of riding at Posh and Catty Woods. While Jess has released several videos throughout the year focused on the annual events at the trails, his latest is a year-end video of unreleased footage primarily focused on the riding that takes place during everyday sessions in the woods. 2019 has been a milestone year for Posh Woods, which has been celebrating twenty-five years of BMX rad-ness! It’s hard to imagine a set of BMX trails lasting a quarter of a century, but on Saturday, August 31st, Posh Woods hosted a 25th Birthday Jam and 4th Annual High Air Comp. Kyle Dipilla made the trip out to these legendary trails in Bethlehem, PA, and shot a gallery of photos for us, which you can view after the jump.

2018 was a wet one. Record-setting rainfall levels for almost the entire trail season had left trail locals all over the northeast feeling a bit bewildered, and frankly, pretty frustrated. Fortunately, the jams we host at Posh and Catty are a catalyst for great times no matter what the weather throws at us. When there is a small army of visiting trail shredders eager to get the trails running by any means necessary, the trails are likely going to run in any weather short of a Category 4 hurricane!

As we count down the final hours of 2018, it’s time once again for our annual year-end list of the top videos from the past year. Take a look back with us at some of the videos that we felt made the strongest impression on our viewers and the scene as a whole. The list is in no particular order and is not based on any web statistics or analytics. Simply put, there are no winners or losers. With that in mind, we invite you to sit back, re-watch and enjoy.

In August we exclusively premiered Adem Gunaydin’s ‘Welcome To Legend Bikes USA‘ video here on the site. Adem’s inaugural video is packed from start to finish with solid riding and jaw-dropping bangers. The video was filmed and edited by Nick Elison with additional filming provided by Chris Girouard. Adem is currently recovering from knee surgery he had earlier in the year, and we hope to see him back on his bike in 2019!
As the 2018 trail riding season is quickly coming to a close, the PA Woods website has just released their 2018 mix of footage from Catty & Posh Woods. The annual Catty and Posh Woods Halloween Jams were held this past weekend on October 20th and 21st in the woods of the Lehigh Valley. Earlier today, Jess Grinager released a new video on his YouTube channel which he filmed during the Catty Woods Halloween Jam. The video includes footage from the 3rd annual Swantz Best Trick Contest, the first ever High Air Contest on the Boomer step down, and much more.
Earlier this morning, Jess Grinager released the second video he produced from the second annual ‘Women’s Weekend In The Woods’ on his YouTube channel. This time around, the video is composed of all the bangers that went down over the course of the weekend. Once again, a big round of thanks to Jess Grinager, Tasha Lindemann and Taryn Hipp for their help in staging, organizing, and providing us with coverage from the event. The 2nd Annual Women’s Weekend in the Woods took place September 22 and 23rd in the woods of Pennsylvania. A simple idea that came together during the cold Northeast winter months last year has proven to be a success yet again. With the support of our jam sponsor T1 and all of the companies that sponsor the trails including S&M, Fit, and Empire BMX, we were able to give women a weekend to come ride trails knowing the woods would be full of other girls. With more women coming out to ride the trails this year than last, it was an awesome weekend where riders of all ages and skill levels could come together to enjoy riding bikes & roasting jumps.
Women’s Weekend in the Woods is a low-key, low-pressure event where girls can come and ride Catty and Posh Woods, two legendary trails spots within driving distance of one another. There are no contests, no clinics, no rules. Just come hang out in the woods and get stoked on trails. Women brought their families, their dogs, their infectious positive energy and for two days nothing mattered but BMX.
Friendships that were created last year grew stronger this year, as women from all over the world came to ride, many of which were jumping higher and going faster than they had last year. There were also women there who had never ridden BMX before but wanted to try it & Women’s Weekend in the Woods provides that safe and supportive environment to send it for the very first time. I am forever grateful for the women’s BMX community and the locals who came together to make this event happen as well as everyone who supports Catty and Posh all year round. See ya in the woods!
