Stink Pit

The full length release of JIB: Tape #4 premiered yesterday afternoon exclusively on the Ride BMX website. The video, which was released and premiered back in January, was filmed and edited by Jon Schimpf, who is also the subject of the latest ‘Top Threes’ segment on the Ride BMX website. JIB: Tape: #4 features sections from Pat Schlitzer, Nick Bott, Jon Schimpf, Steve Tassone, and Joby Suender along with sections from Chocolate Truck, Stink Pit, and A-Town Trash. Dennis Bunn has updated his Flickr account with three new shots taken last weekend. The photos were taken during a session in Philadelphia with some of the Stink Pit crew including Gannwear, Dan Conway and Marty Moore. You can check out the all of the photos after the jump. On Friday, January 20th, 2017 the fourth installment in the JIB mixtape series, ‘JIB: Tape Four’ premiered in a warehouse in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia. For those of you who are unfamiliar, Jib is in their own words, a project that focuses on creating footage of riders that are living & riding in the Philadelphia area.

We expressed interest in reviewing the video for the website and purchased a copy through the Berks St. website. Jonathan Schimpf was kind enough to provide us with an early online viewing of the video to help expedite the review process. You can read the entire review, after the jump.

As we approach the end of the year, it’s time once again to kick off our series of year end posts. Every year, we publish a long list of videos on this site. In the fast paced environment that is the internet they are here one minute and archived the next. But before we close the door on 2016, it’s time to take a look back at some of the videos that we felt made the strongest impression on our viewers and the scene as a whole. The list is in no particular order and is not based off of any web statistics or analytics. With that in mind, we invite you to sit back, re-watch and enjoy.

DIG BMX has begun to exclusively premiere the Stink Pit 5 video on their website before it’s released to DVD. Dan Conway opens up the video with an undeniably strong section filled with big handrails, tech street moves and bangers. Dan’s section was filmed by the Stink Pit crew and edited by Ryan Scott. Keep it locked to DIG BMX for more sections from the DVD as they are released.

The complete Stink Pit 4 video has been uploaded to the DIG BMX YouTube channel. The video features riding from Dan Conway, Fran Meehan, Ryan Evak, Marty Moore, Nick Bott, Eric Capone, and Dan Kelleher “Gannwear”. DIG premiered the video last year for one weekend only and since the video has only been available on DVD. The Stink Pit crew is currently hard at work on SP5.

Daryl Short – Hop Rear Wheel Tire Grab

This week’s “Photo Of The Week” features Daryl Short with an interesting variation on a bunnyhop tire grab by taking aim at the back wheel. Daryl has always been a creative rider who we haven’t seen much of lately, but he has recently been out on some of the Stink Pit crew sessions. Hopefully we see more of Daryl and his creative style of riding sooner rather than later. The photo was shot by Dennis Bunn and can also be viewed on his Flickr page.

This week’s “Photo Of The Week” features Eric Capone, mid-gap to tire ride down a stair ledge setup during this past weekends snowfall. As a bonus, you can check out a pair of additional photos of Eric after the jump.

Daily Grind have released a new edit online featuring Dan Conway. The edit was filmed around the filming of the upcoming Stink Pit 5 video. Dan has been going hard since his recovery from shoulder surgery and it shows in this latest edit filled with big handrail and ledge moves. Filmed by the Stink Pit crew.

Dan Conway’s new Fit 2016 Signature Series Completes edit is now online. The edit features guest appearances by some of the Stink Pit crew including Ryan Landman, Fran Meehan and Marty Moore. Aside from it’s comedic aspects, the video provides a run down of all the different models of Dan’s signature series completes along with Dan putting one of the models to work on a grind box and rail setup.
