2014 Calendar Review
Every year, Pennsylvania is home to a number of video premieres, jams and other events that are hosted in the area. As part of our Year End web-series, we wanted to take a look back and highlight some of the more notable events that took place this past year. Before we throw away our 2014 calendar, we put together this list of ten events you should have had marked on your own calendars.
Infamy “You Got That” Fifth Anniversary
Five years ago today the now defunct Infamy BMX crew premiered their video “You Got That” at Kung-Fu Necktie in Philadelphia. The video featured sections from Fran Meehan, Otto Ayala, Evan Ayala, a Friends Mix, Brendon Reith, Ryan Landman, Eric Capone and Dan Conway. “You Got That” went on to be one of the most talked about videos of 2010 in the BMX community, which was remarkable considering the video was produced by what at the time could have been considered a virtually unknown crew from the suburbs of Philadelphia.
We have included all the sections from “You Got That” after the jump for your viewing pleasure. Whether this is your first time watching the video or if you own the physical DVD the video remains just as relevant today as it did five years ago. Enjoy.
Top 12 Videos Of 2014
Every year, we post countless videos on this site. They are here one minute and archived the next. As part of our Year End web-series, we wanted to take a look back and highlight the videos that we felt were the best of 2014. Unlike last year, this list is in no particular order and is not based off of our website stats. Instead, this years list is based off the videos that stood out the most while scrolling through the list of videos from this past year. So sit back, re-watch and we hope you enjoy.
Photo Gallery: Josh McElwee
Josh McElwee got together with Mike Stahl (above), Rainer Etsweiler and Kevin Little to shoot some photos during last weekends unseasonably warm weather. Some of you may have seen the photos floating around Instagram over the last week however we reached out to Josh who was kind enough to send us over some high resolution copies. If you are not already, make sure you are following all of these guys on Instagram @joshmcelweephoto, @instahled_it, @raineretz, @kevin4130 for more. You can view the entire gallery of photos after the jump.
2014 Year End Q&A
Now that 2014 is in the history books we are kicking off our series of year end features starting with our 2014 Year End Q&A. We sent around a questionnaire for some of the locals to fill out consisting of five questions and put their answers into one big list. You can read the questionnaire as well as all the responses after the jump.
We would like to thank everyone who took the time to fill out the questionnaire as well as everyone that frequents this site year round and follows us through various social media outlets. Thank You.
Interview: 20 Questions With Dan Conway
Dan Conway recently took a hard spill on a handrail and injured his shoulder which required surgery to repair. The end result is that Dan will be off his bike for the next couple months recovering. While Dan had some downtime before his surgery he answered some questions for us spanning an array of topics from the Nora Cup Awards to the riding scene in his own backyard. You can read the interview after the jump.
